About Tierra Ortiz-Rodriguez

May you grow in love and acceptance, strength and courage, wisdom and kindness, insight and discipline. May you become who you already are, as you nurture those seeds within.

Pathways to MindBodySoul, PLLC offers mind-body therapy to mobilize your inner resources for soaring above anxiety, trauma, and chronic pain. As a therapist with more than 10 years experience in holistic mental health, I look forward to joining forces with you to design a program that integrates your mind, body, heart, and soul for neuroplasticity and nervous system regulation.

I love working with diverse clients and communities to actualize ambitious health and wellness goals. My guiding values are holistic, integrative, and trauma-informed care based on compassion, collaboration, curiosity, courage, creativity, and humor.

I love playing with metaphors and discovering new metaphorical insights with my clients. Laughter is good medicine, and I especially love laughing with my clients!

A native Houstonian, I received both my B.S. in Psychology and Master’s in Counseling from the University of Houston. I’ve been working in mental health since 2009.

I am knowledgeable in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals. Prior to private practice, I worked at Legacy Community Health and the Montrose Center. This is a safe and affirming place. All parts of you are welcome here in their authentic expression.

Nature is my favorite kind of therapy! I completed Clinical Ecotherapy training with the Earthbody Institute and am also certified as a Kripalu Mindful Outdoor Guide. I look forward to exploring how bringing nature into your therapy—and you out into nature—may benefit you.

I completed SoulCollage® Facilitator training in July 2020 and have fallen in love with this creative process of tapping into “deep soul wisdom,” in the words of founder Seena Frost. I offer SoulCollage® with individuals and groups, online and outdoors.

whiteblaze on the Appalachian Trail showing the way

In 2011, I hiked 700 glorious miles of the Appalachian Trail. This picture of a whiteblaze is one of my favorites. Hiking the AT gave me a deep appreciation of nature and the hero’s journey.

Seeing the path blazed ahead of you, often from a great distance so that you know the hard work that awaits; and as you look back, how far you’ve come. Often there are detours along the way, and you get lost. It can be terrifying. But you figure it out and life is far more interesting because of it.

We are all fellow travelers on this planet.
The paths are many.
May you Hike Your Own Hike!
