Hi! I’m Tierra Ortiz-Rodriguez, your Mind-Body Guide

Together, we’ll explore how chronic pain, anxiety, and trauma live not just in the mind or the body alone, but in the conversation between the brain, nervous system, and lived experience.

This work is a mind–body journey, combining cutting edge neuroscience with compassionate, body-aware practices to help your system feel safe enough to heal.

Whether you’re navigating back pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, IBS, migraines, anxiety, trauma symptoms, or other stress-related conditions, your symptoms are real—and they are changeable.

I offer integrative, evidence-based approaches that work from the top down and bottom up. These include Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Schema Therapy, Expressive Arts, Nature-Based Therapy, and other mind–body modalities designed to retrain the brain and restore a sense of safety within.

MIND

Pain Reprocessing Therapy is an evidence-based neuroplasticity therapy to disarm the brain’s overprotective alarm and activate safety.

Cognitive behavior therapy, schema therapy, and mindfulness therapy are additional brain-based tools available to support your cognitive health.

We will explore your thoughts, beliefs, and the quality of awareness you bring to situations. You will learn to challenge negative thought patterns, let go of false beliefs and internalized voices, and build healthy attitudes and cognitive flexibility.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy and SoulCollage® are creative modalities supporting cognitive change at the level of images, metaphors, and stories.

BODY

Your body and emotions are highly sensitive detectors of wellness and dis-ease. I incorporate somatic therapy to help you create and sustain habits that are aligned with your values, health, and wellness.

Pain Reprocessing Therapy or Pain Recovery Coaching teaches you how to Disarm the Alarm and Activate Safety by turning toward sensations and emotions through a lens of safety, humor, and positive affect. Accelerated Resolution Therapy helps process and resolve troubling emotions and sensations stored in the body related to trauma and stress.

We will also explore somatic meditation, grounding, emotional freedom technique, and many other “bottom-up” approaches for supporting your physical and emotional health, including nature connection and ecotherapy.

A soul-centered approach to healing invites you to examine that which sparks joy, meaning, and creative expression.

I invite an array of expressive arts into the therapeutic adventure. Through right-brain play, you will get to know your inner wisdom and authentic inner voice and discover your unique resilience and resourcefulness via SoulCollage®, creative journaling, drawing, dreamwork, and more.

We will dive into topics of passion, play, and purpose. We will pay special attention to your dreams and creative stirrings. We will explore the soul-tending practices of working with breakage and repair and coming to know “survival as a creative act.”
